IMP Latin America was contacted to supply a 2MW portable, containerized module for a remote island’s main utility source. This unit must be installed and syncronized to operate with exsisting generators that would total up to 4MW of power. The standard factory-installed switchgear needed to be modified to match other generator sets already in operation. Understanding the customer’s complex utility needs was critical in providing the right solution. To keep the project cost-effective, a switchgear upgrade was completed in the US prior to shipment. Once delivered, the customer was on-site to witness the unit in full operation and recieve important training from our service technicians.
