Gas profit-margin.\u00a0 If history is any indicator, the ever-pragmatic oil executives will certainly look to disperse those losses as far down-stream as possible.<\/p>\n<p>In January, Industrial Motor Power Corp (IMP) saw cancelations in large power generator orders and declared it as a prophetic sign of <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.impcorporation.com\/64\/oil-price-collapse-leads-to-dom-og-long-winter\" target=\"_blank\">O&amp;G preparing to make overhead cuts<\/a> in order to keep profits on track. \u00a0Just weeks later, BloomberBusiness reported on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2015-02-09\/roughnecks-and-roustabouts-still-have-their-fracking-jobs-but-for-how-long-\" target=\"_blank\">O&amp;G employment decline<\/a>.\u00a0 So, while this new fracturing rule is certainly necessary for long-term environmental purposes, it comes at an inauspicious time, putting another strain on this presently difficult situation.<\/p>\n<p>The new provisions will \u201cprotect public health and the environment during and after hydraulic fracturing operations at a modest cost\u201d said Assistant Secretary for Land and Minerals Management Janice Schneider.\u00a0 While we can all appreciate the government\u2019s desire to execute these rules at only a \u201cmodest cost\u201d to the industry, any cost at all can and will affect John Oil Worker. \u00a0In an economy where the US has been recently positioned to become a major exporter of natural gas [as opposed to its usual stance as top-importer], it\u2019s a punch to the gut for many companies who will need to delay those plans, and cut employment in the interim.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou can\u2019t blame them,\u201d says IMP CEO Nicholas Nadjarian, \u201cit\u2019s smart business to react quickly.\u00a0 Jobs will be lost for now, but [O&amp;G} prices will jump back up.\u00a0 The supply just needs to find its balance in this new market.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Looking ahead, one potential safeguard in place that can speed the price per barrel rebound, and thereby bring jobs back, are the oil-linked contracts that set liquefied natural gas prices as a percentage of crude in foreign markets.\u00a0 Even a momentary, but quantified reductions in production could act as a defibrillator to the companies and employees who have been floating in the doldrums of low BBL and MMBtu prices as of late.<\/p>\n<p>ABOUT INDUSTRIAL MOTOR POWER: IMP (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.IMPcorporation.com\">www.IMPcorporation.com<\/a>) is the industry leading supplier of new-surplus &amp;
